Hello all,
Im new to the forum and need your help.I dont speak German and didnt know where to put my message for sale.
My uncle passed away a few weeks ago and left me along with some other things,a Unimog vehicle.
Im not sure which model is because i dont see any sign somewhere, but checking in google, its seems like the 401,1956 year model.
It starts and move well,im not sure if it generally works perfect as i had never used it before and also seems to need alot of work externally and internally.
Because i prefer to get it sell than using it.So,what price it can get with the condition it is as seems in the photos for selling it?

Hi without name !
Tell us your name the Unimogs chassis - number, you will find it beside the right frontwheel on the frame. It will explain the type of unimog and its age, at least to people who know about this issue. You could also read it on the aluminium - plate under the bonnet on the co - driver side. Send more pics e.g. of the engine compartement.
You should mention where the uni is located (Belgium, France, Italy) and describe its features (tipper, power - takeoff, hydrauliks , papers.....?) Due to the poor outer condition you should not expect too much, but a possible price depends a lot on the facts mentioned before.
Post your info under "Biete" = offers.

Hi guys,
My name is Vasilis from Greece and this unimog is located in Athens,Greece.I checked today the chassis number and it writes 411 110 012746.
I captured 2 photos of the number and aluminum plate.Im not sure about its futures and there isnt any other part along with the vehicle, only the front metal which im not sure what it connects to it.For papers,im searching but havent found something yet.

Hi Vasilis,

what you can get from the chassis number is, that it is an Unimog 411.110 type, no 401 model. Old axles and short wheel base. Year of manufacturing is 1960. Before 1960 the chassis number started every year with again, starting with an indicator for the year.

The front attchment is a so called "Schmidt plate". Tools like snowplow were attached at this plate.

Markus

Thank you for your help Markus. What price range do you believe this model in this condition can it get in order to put it for sale?

Cheers,
Vasilis

Hi Vasilis,

a price estimation is really difficult. I suppose you want to sell it outside Greece, expecting more potential buyers and a better price. Based on a few pictures, no fair estimation is possible. Yes, there are a lot of missing parts. You can get them in Germany, but it can be costly.

The most serious obstacle is the shipping outside Greece. It is a factor of cost. The Unimog isn't as unique as inspecting it at site before buying in Greece is an option.

You may can place an sold note under "Kleinanzeigen" & "Biete". This is the place to sell Unimogs here in the community.

A list of the options, like front PTO (visible on the pictures) is helpful. What about the rear? Is there a pneumatic power lift?

Markus

Hi Markus,
I prefer to sell it outside Greece as here i think would be difficult as there arent many unimog buyers or merchants available who are willing to buy it for parts or restoration.I dont want to buy parts to restore it,as it would be costly and also dont have free time to do this.
In the rear side,i didnt see any power lift and not sure what it can gets behind.I uploaded some good quality photos with a rear side photo to get an idea how it looks like. Here is the link with the photos: postimg.org/gallery/1mpxbeggo/

Hi Vasilis,

the pictures are a good start. What extras I can see is:

front PTO
Schmidt plate
pneumatic trailer brake system incl. compressor
tank of a Schmidt hydraulic system (a moved diesel filter indicates a hydraulic pump, is it still attached to the OM 636 motor?)
a snorkel for air inlet, but damaged
a level constant rear attachment

I this is really a buying option, you would have got a lot PN (personal notes) with offers already. I think inside the community there is limited interest.

See what the pictures will effect. Good pictures are the key to good sales. Let us know your price view.

Regards,
Markus
